DESCRIPTION:ARISE POTE 2023 REGISTRATION IS OPEN NOW!\n\nWE ARE BEYOND EXCITED FOR THIS YEAR’S 5TH ANNUAL PUPIL OF THE EYE (POTE) GATHERING FROM JUNE 15-19\, 2023\, WHICH IS JUST A FEW WEEKS AWAY OVER THE DAYS PRECEDING AND INCLUDING THE JUNETEENTH WEEKEND.  THIS CONFERENCE IS CREATED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE  PUPIL OF THE EYE \, THE PEOPLE OF AFRICAN DESCENT\,  AS A SAFE SPACE TO BE NURTURED AND ENCOURAGED. \n\nNOTE: A FEW SOTE -(SCLERA\, THE WHITE PART OF THE EYE INTIMATELY SUPPORTING THE PUPIL) WILL BE INVITED\, SPACE PERMITTING- BUT BY MY INVITATION ONLY!  HOWEVER\, ALL PEOPLE OF AFRICAN DESCENT WISHING TO CONNECT\, COLLABORATE\, AND COMMIT TO CREATING A BETTER WORLD ARE INVITED REGARDLESS OF NATIONALITY OR RELIGIOUS AFFILIATION! \nWE’VE GOT A FEW NEW PRESENTERS AND MANY OF YOUR FAVORITES RETURNING. YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS HEARING DR. JOY DEGRUY\, DR. LESLIE KING HAMMOND\, MARY TOYA OKONKWO\, RADIANCE TALLEY\, DERIK SMITH\, CALVIN TERRELL\, MICHAEL O’NEAL\, GERI PEAK\, OLETHA DEVANE\, BARBARA TALLEY\, SUE ST. CLAIR\, TOD EWING\, SHAWN TALLEY\, KAYURA FELIX\, TADIA RICE\, JAMES WILLIAMS\, JUNE THOMAS AND MORE.  OTHERS TO BE CONFIRMED! \nWhile we are privileged to have the LSAs of Baltimore County West and Howard County sponsor us\, and offer their generous support. Putting on an in-person event like this is a herculean effort and is a very expensive endeavor and I could not do it without them. We hope to acquire the necessary funds to feed a few hundred people five meals\, transport them to the various venues\, pay for the venue spaces\, and support those who cannot afford to come. Depending on your generosity\, some meals we’d like to offer may be on your own.\n\nSo\, to preserve the dignity of all who are economically challenged\,  I am not specifying a specific amount to attend the conference. I am again stepping out on Faith and just asking people to give sacrificially. Please contact us if this poses a financial burden for you at bahaipote2019@gmail.com.  No one should miss the conference because of money!!  And\, if you can give extra\, please\, please\, please\, do so!\n\nTHIS CONFERENCE WILL BE BOTH IN PERSON AND VIRTUAL!!!\nWe’ll be coming together in person this year\, but many portions will be streamed live via zoom.
